Scam: Fraudulent phone calls concerning your debit or credit card.

Description

Some customers have received telephone calls or messages claiming to be from Butte Community Bank stating that their debit or credit card has been blocked, suspended, deactivated or compromised. Many of these calls are automated and are made late at night, early in the morning or on weekends..

The caller or message typically provides instructions on how to "reactivate" your card by pressing 1, calling another number or by entering your account information directly using your telephone keypad.

These calls are NOT coming from Butte Community Bank. If you receive such a call, do NOT respond.
